Everything is Coming Up Himmeli

For my sweet friends baby shower,

 the super crafty Humble Bumble Brenda and I

made really adorable black and mauve 

Himmeli air plant hangers and filler her house with them.

We used the tutorial over on Smile and Wave.

Ever since that first geometric beauty was made,

I was hooked.

All I could think about was making more and more 

beautiful geometric shapes.

I finally found some brass tubes,

thanks to me new neighborhoods Ace Hardware.

And Himmeli away!

I made this amazing air plant hanger

that I can't stop staring at.

And then, yesterday,

I decided to get brave with the Dremel and start cutting smaller 

pieces of tubing.

That was the beginning of the 

Himmeli Necklace!

wardrobe re-fashion

i found this necklace in the back of a drawer.  i think that it belonged to the hubs at some point.  chokers kinda freak me out, i think i must have a fat neck or something. but not to worry....a quick 5 minute DIY can fix just about anything. so my "i am never going to wear this" choker became a longer necklace with just a few snips and the addition of some extra chain.

oh man this past weekend i went to another one of those fantastic vintage yard sales that we are so lucky to have here. the house of vintage was cleaning out there shop and they had some pretty spectacular deals. i was lucky enough to bring these little beauties home!

this skirt is exactly what this summer heat is calling for. it's comfortable and such a great airy fabric. not to mention it kinda looks amazing blowing in the wind (or doing twirls).

i just fell in love with all these necklaces and it wasn't my intentions at first, but i absolutely love them all together.

did i mention that the ever so delicious ps561 truck was parked out front?!?! yum. there's no better way to end some fantastic shopping then with an avocado covered hot dog.
