e.trumble photography: the Laney's

I was so honored when West Palm Beach family photographer,
Allison Laney, asked me to take her families portraits.
We got to chatting one day about how we are always behind the cameras,
and never in pictures with our husbands and kiddos.

Well we settled on a date and then took a field trip to downtown Lake Worth.
I was thrilled when she suggested the location.
We took turns behind the camera and posed up with our families.

The trip was full of lots of laughs and lots of dancing…and boy noises!

We had so much fun.  The Laney's are a super fun and sweet family!

Welcome to the World Little Boy!

This beautiful woman finally had her baby today.
Little Dorian, who wasn't so little,
is here at last!

I can not wait to meet that sweet boy!
Congrats to you both Jordan and Christine!

What's all the Buzz?

I always seem to take so much pleasure in
capturing things that fly with my camera.
It take patients and a quick finger to get
those pesky winged models in the exact frame that you want them.

Along with the thrill of capturing things that fly,
I have also just been down right obsessed with bugs lately.
I think that little boy of mine is starting to rub off on me.

p.s. I wish there was better scale to show just how huge that green moth was.
I just couldn't get close enough to it as it was hanging out in the eve of this barn.
Each of it's wings was easily the size of each hand.
Giant!

Little Ellie is 2!

One of my favorite things about
doing family photography is watching families grow.
The last time I photographed this sweet family
was when Ellie was still in her momma's belly.
Now she's turning 2! And momma's about to pop with a baby boy!
Here is a little peek at a few of my favorites from our very hot
Snook Island morning session.

Project 52

I am not sure what it is about you two.
All day I have to repeatedly tell you two to separate.
I have to break up growling matches,
and try and prevent nips on the hand and wads of fur being removed.
I can see it in her eyes that you driver her crazy
constantly chasing her around.
I am sure that it drives you crazy that she just won't let you
keep her in a choke hold.
Either way,
there is a definite air of frustration between you two.

But then it's it bath time,
and she won't leave you side.
There is a tiny sense of protection mixed with a sheer love for water
that I am sure ignites her desire to be half way in the tub.
But I'll be damned that if in those 20-30 minutest that you are soaking
in your own filth,
she is your very best friend and you are hers.

Wynwood

We made a very quick trip to Wynwood this weekend.  It was a beautiful day full of great discoveries! It's amazing what parking in a different spot will do for a new found perspective and finding some art work that you've been searching for!
With all the excitement of my new magenta colored hair, I decided to share some of my favorite snap shots sharing the same hue.  And if you want to see how awesome my hair is now, look here and here!

30x30

Today's 30x30 was to go for a family hike...well due to time and work constraints we actually did this last week.  I know I am cheating on my own project, but oh well.  You may have remembered seeing this picture on Instagram.  Here are some of my other PG favorites.

I love watching your brain work.
You love to take things apart to see how they work,
and you always put them right back together.

Wynwoon: Remnants

The art is abundant in Wynwood.  Your eyes are constantly following a roller coaster or beautiful murals and mind boggling tags.  Sometimes the art isn't on the walls though.  The remnants of artists and masterpieces litter the streets and tell a store of their own.

Wynwood: Artifacts

Our adventures in Wynwood are always full of "oohs & aahhhs!", but stumbling on something like this literally left us speechless.  It was like climbing through a hole and landing in a history book.  The layers upon layers of paint and stickers were unreal, and told a rich story of who was here, and who was here before them.  Empty paint cans littered the dilapidated museum. Each corner turned left my heart racing.  What would I find? What would I see? Would someone else find or see me? It was a rush to say the least. I could have spent the entire day there, but a few quick minutes was all I got.  These are the artifacts of Wynwood.  These walls hold it's history in a secret and sacred place.  The heart and soul of a community disguised by a rough shell.  What an honor to see it for myself.
